Eligibility for admission is based on the following:

  1. Clients must be male and at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  2. The presence of a substance abuse problem must be substantiated.
  3. Clients must agree to accept and follow program rules and structured activities.
  4. Clients must have the physical and psychological ability to participate in the program.
  5. Clients cannot have any personal relationship with an existing client that may hamper the treatment. When possible, we will refer a client with this type of situation to another facility.

No one is denied admission to any of Discovery's programs because of race, color, national origin, religion, ethnicity, or sexual preference. Waiting lists are maintained when client capacity is reached and applicants on the waiting list are asked to maintain contact with the Intake department until such time that an intake date can be established.


Insurance Accounts:

The Insurance company will be contacted for the benefit verification. The client or responsible party will then be advised during the intake process of any deposit or co-payment required.


At The Discovery Program, our main concern is providing recovery and a more fulfilling life for those who seek our services. Where insurance coverage does not apply, we suggest that patients talk with our business staff. Our Intake/Financial Coordinators will assist with a review of costs and payment options.

Cash Accounts:

Cash accounts and payment terms are based upon the length of stay and determined with the client or responsible party prior to admission. MasterCard, Visa, and Discover, are accepted.


The Admissions Department is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Our admission representatives are on call..

The Discovery Program's treatment is contracted and accepted by most major managed care companies. Please call us for information anytime, day or night for further information. We are here to assist you in your time of need.


The following information is needed to process the admission:
  • Client's name, address, telephone, date of birth, social security number, and emergency contact
  • .Name, address, and telephone of the client's insurance carrier; insurance policy group and contact number
  • Insured's employer company name, address and telephone. Name, address, and telephone of insured if other than the client's.
